One Million Hoodie March- Hundreds Protest the Death of Trayvon Martin
Hundreds rallied in Union Square to protest the death of Trayvon Martin, a young teen who was gunned down by a neighborhood watch captain, George Zimmerman, who has yet to be charged. Supporters of the “Million Hoodie March” wore hooded sweatshirts and marched through the streets of NYC shouting “No Justice, No Peace” and ” I Am Trayvon Martin.
The protestors were joined by the parents of Trayvon Martin who stated “Trayvon should not be dead” was Zimmerman has said the teen attacked him and he shot him in self-defense. The Million Hoodie March signed over 937,065 signatures in support for the injustice of Trayvon Martin.
